Alleged Video from Terror Leader al-ZarqawiBy Andrew Cochran
Jihadist web sites have posted a showing attacks against U.S. and Iraqi forces, allegedly narrated by terror suspect Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. News reports indicate that the 46-minute video opens with old footage of bin Laden, then shows suicide attacks against U.S. soldiers and Iraqi forces and emphasizes that the war being waged by Iraqi insurgents is in retaliation for America's war against Islam. "The American soldier is a coward and an easy target for the holy fighters," says a speaker said to be al-Zarqawi, on the undated video. The narrator says the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq was unjust and refers to President Bush as an "idiot" for announcing an end to major combat in May 2003. The voice says the war "has just started" and declares that the U.S. aim is to "humiliate Muslims and to obliterate the rituals of this religion." In a related story, a Jihadist poster has sent an online letter to al-Zarqawi suggesting attacks on American oil interests, stating: "[n]ow is the time to gain more advantages, to hit oil wells, tankers, and oil pipelines, to cause devastation to the American economy.
