Congress Hearing on al Qaeda and the Militant Jihadist Threat

On Thursday, February 16, I testified before the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities. Chairman Jim Saxton was impressive in his understanding of the importance of the ideology in dealing with terrorism and militancy. That said, there is still a long way to go for the US Congress and the Administration to fully recognize the essence of the threat.
