In addition to a statement given by Susan Hemming, the head of the U.K.'s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Counterterrorism Unit, CPS has also released details on those charged today in relation to an Al-Qaida-linked terrorist plot aimed at detonating improvised explosive devices onboard aircraft headed to the U.S.
Separately, the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has released the full text of an accompanying statement today from Deputy Commissioner Peter Clarke of the MPS Anti-Terrorist Branch regarding the failed airline bomb plot.
